ATTN: Stephen Holm----Bad Link at Howtotell.com RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi Stephen,

I am assuming that your staff can contact the people running howtotell.com to alert them to a link error.

Bad link on this page:  http://www.microsoft.com/resources/howtotell/content.aspx?displaylang=en&pg=coa

The link that is supposed to show previous versions of the small-manufacturer CoA erroneously takes you to the page that shows previous CoA versions of application soiftware (ie Office).

  • Hi Dan,

I have been looking into the issue you reported, but all the links (The "Enlarge", "View Previous Versions" and the "More Information" links) in the "Small Manufacturer Pre-installed Windows COAs" area appear to go to the correct content.

Could you tell me exactly what link is the bad one?

Disregard, I see it now.  Thanks for the headsup

    Thanks,
    Darin

  • Hi Stephen

On a related point, there is also outdated content on http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Where-do-I-find-my-Windows-product-key.

The "Go online to see other stickers" hyperlink to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=106173 has a popup title of "Go to www.microsoft.com and search for "small manufacturer COA"" but, for me, the link opens http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/howtotell/default.aspx and no searching is required [doing so lead me to this forum].
