locked out of my computer

I was locked out of my computer last night after a restart with a message saying windows wasn't genuine. now all that I get is the user name administrator with a blank password spot. it won't let me type anything into this spot either. I've never had this problem before and I would really like to at least get on to back up some things on to a flash drive or something. if anyone knows something a can do about this please help. thanks

The only version of Windows that has a Non-Genuine triggered Reduced Functionality Mode is the original Windows Vista (it was removed from Vista in Service Pack 1 and 2) Neither Windows XP or 7 would lock you out due to a Genuine error. My feeling is that there is a deeper issue and the Non-genuine error you saw was one of the side effects.

Are you able to startup Windows in Safe Mode?
