  • Question

  • Okay.... below is the "windows" page from running the tool.

I am the administrator for a church that has Open Licensing, and have correctly entered the license key downloaded from the license center on each of our PCs.

After a reboot, each of the PCs gives the "not genuine" message.  When I use regedit to delete the product ID and digital product ID, I enter the new key again.

When this happens, the old key has been recovered from somewhere.

SO.... What next?  Below, please find the info from the tool.

  • Hello joe jacoby,

Please repost your Vista issue in the correct section of the forum:  http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/threads

Darin Smith the Microsoft moderator of the forum is on vacation, so if Noel Paton (a volunteer helper like me) is not familiar enough to help you with this KMS server issue (I know I'm not as conversant with it as I'd like to be), then I would recommend that you post a question in the TechNet forum for KMS servers:

  • Hello, Joe

KMS activation is handled locally within your private network and not by Microsoft, therefore we are unable to assist in these forums.

You may have some luck using the TechNet forums as Dan suggested, but I would check if you have a support contract for the KMS server (it's likely that you do) and go that route if possible.
