  • You mean something like Windows remote assistance?

The broader term is Remote Desktop Software:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remote_desktop

Making one requires you to write two Programms: The server (wich runs on the machine your remotely Control) and a Client (the Software that remotely Controls). All the actuall work is done by the Server, the Client only tells it waht to do. It is one of the rare cases where you have a lot more Servers then Clients.

Making both also requires you to understand stuff like Networks, Routing, and Potentially Hole Punching or Peer-to-Peer communication. I understand most of what is involved and would rather look to modify one of the OpenSource Programms then trying to make something like this myself.

  • Hi salim,

Thank you for visiting the MSDN forum. I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum about this issue. I am moving your question to the moderator forum ("Where is the forum for..?"). The owner of the forum will direct you to a right forum.

    Thanks for your understanding.

  • I'd ask on Microsoft's ASP.NET Forums
