    The firewall on my computer shuts itself off for no reason.  My files were destroyed recently when my computer shut down and a repairman had to restart it.  The repairman installed Avila Antivirus which tells me the firewall is off now but, I noticed prior to the repair, that the firewall just won't stay on.  Are there any possible solutions?  Do you think it is dangerous to run my PC without the firewall on?
