WHS 2011 & TCP 4125 RRS feed

    Good afternoon colleagues. There is established in 2011 with an activated WHS WEB access. It is also available in the published applications remoteapp. On the internet says that should be open the following ports wan-> lan 443, 80 and 4125. As I understand port 4125 is used instead of 3389 for secure connections to published applications.

    However, as I have not tried my 4125 port is not responding. Moreover if you do telnet on the port 2011 on the whs 4125 - no answer no.

    Access 4125 is a Remote Web Workplace - but it is not active

    As a result, have to keep an open RDP port 3389

    Where to look for a mistake?

    Port 443 is all you need for WHS 2011.

    Anyway, with only port 443 open you can use the website (starting with https://) and also the remote dashboard.

    Remote Desktop access is not supported, and if you want to use this anyway, port 3389 would be correct.

    The 3 ports you mentioned, are necessary for WHS v. 1.
