Problems with P2P Syncing Computers

Question
-
Hi!
First of all: Live Mesh would be exactly that thing what i was searching for. An unlimited Windows Live Sync!
But:
I am having troubles when syncing large data amounts between my pcs.
Syncing isn't working every time. Sometimes it even not starts and sometimes the transfer stucks. When I restart L.M. the progress bar runs very fast to exactly that position which it was before again.
Second thing is... LM runs very very slow, when seeking for files in an initial search when just added a lm folder. Why can't it be so fast like Live Sync.
We are talking about a data size of about 60GB and about 10000 files
My Mesh cloud:
2 Notebooks with Win XP
2 PCs with XP and Vista
all Updates and powerfull hardware
by the way: most of them are used behind a router firewall (but get a connection)
The Online desktop thing always displays "synced" every time on every online device. Also very strange when I am knowing that 12GB of data is missing on the pcs since days of online connection.
What is going on? Are there any solutions?
Please Help!
PS:
A good aditional feature would be an icon overlay for synced files like syncplicity has. I think you already should have an online database with the actual file lists in the mesh. I don't think that would be that problem to integrate that, but LM stability should have the first prior on my opinion.Thursday, April 2, 2009 2:18 PM

Do have a look at the links below. For you P2P issue, please file a bug report with logs from the affected machines.
And then post a link back to this thread for your filed bug on Connect.

I have no time for collecting the logs of 4 pcs and searching for that one, which is the troublemaker...
I localized the error in the merge function, when adding a computer to a mesh folder. If there is data already in the folder the whole mesh folder gets crazy and also deletes files on the already existing pcs. if i let mesh create a folder on the disk, after all is copyed to the new folder, it works fine.
by the way... a friend has exactly the same problem on other pcs and other internet providers.Friday, April 3, 2009 6:46 AM -
This is a beta/preview. Things can go wrong. Filing a bug report with logs helps the Live Mesh team identify why the problem happened so that the product can be improved. Collecting logs and attaching them to the bug report should only take a few minutes per PC. If you don't want to do that, then there's no way to identify what the problem might be.
My advice also applies to your friend who experienced the same issue.
