  • HI All ,
I have a single box set up of OCS 2007 R2. Also communicator is on same machine, I Can login to communicator with the user OCSUser@OCS164.dev login id with automatic configuration , but when I select for Manual configuration and add ip address of the same machine, it gives error << Problem verifying the certificate >>
Can you tell me how can I resolve this ?

Also I am new to OCS, please explain a bit in detail,

Also there is one more machine with communicator in the same domain of OCS Machine... but when I tried to log in gives same certificate error !

    Can anyone explain this ?

  • This is normal as the certificate will not have any IP Address in the names of the Certificate (Common Name or Subject Alternate Name list)
You have to use the FQDN of the server not the IP Address.
You could also check the SRV record sipinternaltls and check to which server it directs you (that should be the FQDN of the OCS Server, and then I assume that you use the Domain Name as the SIP Domain Name)

  • Typically this is because the _sipinternaltls SRV record in DNS is pointing to a physical OCS server instead of the pool name and the certificate on the server is (rightfully) issued for the pool name.

Hope, you can resolve your problem.
