Office Professional 2007 non Genuine respnse RRS feed

  • I just loaded Office Professional upgrade with intact Product Key.  I entered the key during installation and received the green check at the end of the entry line.

     

    I was using Word 2007 and wanted to download a template?? to allow production of PDF from Word and did a genuine test of Office.  It failed.

     

    I went to your tool and ran the Windows Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool .  XP is genuine but office has a problem.

     

    I copied the info and will attach it below.  I will GREATLY appreciate your assistance.

  • An analysis of your MGA log indicates the presence of a non-genuine copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2007 (Enterprise Edition)
    (Office Status: 103 Blocked VLK).  How did you obtain this non-genuine software?

     

    Genuine Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 software is only legally available to Volume Licensing customers.

     

    Note: VLK = Volume License Key

  • My XP Box was badly affected by viruses and others that resulted in very slow working conditions.  I took it to a repair shop for reloading the XP operating system and a new copy of Office Suite.  I had the original OEM Office Prof XP on the machine at the time I took it in for cleaning.

     

    I was worried about the fact that I did not have Office Disks and it failed Genuine so I went to Sams Warehouse this last week and purchased the Office Prof 2007 WIN32 ENGLISH VUP U sealed with its Certificate of Authenticity intact.  In fact, I purchased 2 packages for a total of $600 so that I could have a consistent copy between my office and my home. 

     

    I had read a googled MS EULA said that I could load software on 3 machines in the same household but since I wanted one for office and one for home seemed to be in violation thus a second copy of the Upgrade was purchased.  I read today in the Office Prof EULA that only one machine may be loaded with one copy of the software.  Am I reading this correctly?  No multiple installs within a household for different machines used by a person in different parts of the house or laptop.  Not multiple copies in use at a time.  It this interpretation correct.

     

    Back to the issue at hand, I keyed in the Product Key (orange label inside the clip down "drawer" in the container) as I installed the software on my XP Box today. 

     

    I reattempted to download an add in and again purposely tested for genuine.  It failed again. 

     

    I am now repeating myself.

  • I went into the listing of software and removed the version provided by the computer shop.  My installed version remains and thus far it seems to work and show genuine in my single test.  I needed to proceed with the project that I was working on rather than wait any longer.

     

    I would still appreciate an answer to the 2 EULA related questions which I posed a couple of comments ago.

    Can you give me any other direction re the EULA questions or a site to help with the rather legalize writing that I find in the verbiage?
