  • Hi,

Yes, it's possible! but make sure that the installed components are included in the solution which you are going to create!

    OK it's possible. How?

I have one solution, for sake of example imaginatively called "Solution A" which I have imported as a managed solution to my system. On that I have created a second solution, equally imaginatively called "Solution B". In solution B I can add entities from Solution A, what I don't seem to be able to do is to put both Solution A and Solution B in a single package. In the solution manager bit of CRM there are options for Entities, option sets etc but no obvious way to include a solution itself.

  • Hi,

you can merge your solution components and recreate them as new solution!.

You can't  keep the things as solution A and solution B in solution C but you can have the components of solution A and solution B as Solution  C

Ah, so it's not possible to package them as nested solutions. Is there any tool to automatically merge solutions or do I have to manually copy all the elements of Solution A into Solution B?

  • As far as i know, you have to do it manually!

  • Hi Brand,

Only these are the possible ways to merger the solutions, as per  your scenario it is not possible to create a depends solution from one to another and we can't make it 2 solutions as a package.
