Microsoft Dynamics CRM Development Self Training

Question
-
I have a reasonable amount of experience (5 years) in Microsoft .NET Development from backend to UI (Web, WPF, ASP.NET etc) and need to widen my skills to include Microsoft Dynamics CRM and to a lesser extent Sharepoint.
Can anyone offer some advice on the best path to learning and gaining knowledge and skills in Microsoft Dynamics CRM development?
I have download the SDK and other resources and can read through the documentation, yet I will need to gain practical experience using and developing CRM.
I can not afford an MSDN Subscription with MS Dynamics CRM.
Do I need to have an MSDN Subscription for practical experience in CRM or is it possible to get some limited (yet business appropriate) version of CRM?

Thank you. The link was really helpful...
Really should have known about these tutorials already.
The challenge now is getting my hands on a installation of Dynamics CRM (and now AX) where I can get hands on experience. Reading and watching only goes so far, doing is what reinforces the lessons.
Thanks again...

Thank you, the links are very helpful.
I am have read through the documentation in the SDK and looked at the Tutorials. My main challenge now is getting my hands on an installation of Dynamic CRM (and AX) so I can actually run some run and deploy real code rather than just reading about it.
Other than buying it do you know of some way I can get a non-commercial version version of Dynamics CRM that can work with the Express developer products?
I do not have, and can not afford, a MSDN Subscription.
