  • Question

  • I have two major problems, when contacting mcafee, microsoft, and acer each point the finger to the next one, and no one will help except for microsoft for 59$ a hour, and I only had the system for a week.

    1. How do I remove mcafee from my server (it was pre installed) There is nothing under software add in.
    2. Remote access is configured properly according to WHS but when I click on my domain name created in the WHS, firefox times out, and explorar cannot display page. I used out side software to ping the 3 ports needed and all checked open. Under setting/remote access/no issues found. I tried the ip address and the domain name, no luck.

  • You will need to log in to the server desktop using Remote Desktop and uninstall McAfee through Add or Remove Programs .
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

Ken already answered your first question.

In regards to your second question, did you try go to your website from outside your LAN?  Some routers have problems with loopback (meaning internal LAN) requests.
