It has come to my attention that Live One Care will no longer be available for purchase after 12/31/2009. To my knowledge, this is Microsoft's first effort in releasing an all inclusive software for virus protection, system backup and general maintenance like disk cleanup/defrag etc. If this is the case, and this product will no longer be available, does anyone know why Microsoft discontinued what in my opinion was by far the best software of it's kind I had ever had the pleasure of using. I highly recomended it to all of my clients and got great feedback from each of them, never a single complaint. Aside from the impressive functionality, it seemed to integrate with the Operating System better than anything else out there. I'm sure others may disagree but this has been my experience so my question is
IS LIVE ONE CARE BEING REPLACED BY ANOTHER MICROSOFT PRODUCT, IF SO WHEN?
ALSO, IF ANYONE KNOWS, WHY WAS LIVE ONE CARE PULLED OFF THE SHELVES IN THE FIRST PLACE?
Thanks a lot for any feed back anyone can provide.

And other announcements at the of the forum. We don't know why they chose to discontinue it, unfortunately, though we can speculate... -steveMicrosoft MVP Windows Live / Windows Live OneCare, Live Mesh, & MS Security Essentials Forums Moderator
