Programming in C#: do we get a certificate for that? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello there,

Yesterday, I (successfully) passed the certification 70-483: programming in C#.

I instantly received the MCPS, but I can't see anywhere the 70-483 certificate.

On the Pearson Vue website, I can view and download my report; on it, it's written that the report can take up to a week to display on my Microsoft transcript.

On the Microsoft Training website, in the benefits and exams section, I can see this transcript. On it, the name of the certification appears (not the whole detail: just the fact that I successfully passed it).

On the same section, I can see just one certificate: Microsoft Certified Professional. I expected to have a Programming in C# certificate, and also the Microsoft Specialist certification (apparently you gain it as soon as you pass the Programming in C# one. Oops: if I understand correctly, that's not the case anymore since the end of March 2017).

Does such a thing exists? If so, will it appear in the coming week? Or do you "just" have a MCP certification for any Microsoft certification that you pass?

  • Okay, for those who are still wondering: there is no certificate for this exam, but there is a badge that is delivered by Acclaim. I got mine exactly one week after I passed it.
