cursor/mouse issue

Question
-
Not too hi tech of a question but I need some help........how do I keep my cursor from opening or doing a command when it just happens to be on an area for more than a few seconds. I have lost emails because of this. I have open windows that I don't want. It's annoying. This is my first lap top so it's new to me how this works. I have looked in control panel and cursor setting but don't see anything that deals with this. Any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Anyway, the only settings in the Control Panel Mouse applet that could be related to your problem could be the "ClickLock" feature in the "Buttons" tab and the "Snap To" feature in the "Pointer Options" tab.
Also check that this behavior is not related to the driver that your mouse (or touchpad) uses.Bye.
