Error Message in Service section after Importing New Organization RRS feed

  • Hi,

     

    I restored the CRM DB using "Deployment Management Tools" of the CRM 4.0.

    However, everything restored back but while trying to call the "Service" section of the CRM application,

    an error message appeared:

     

    Microsoft CRM Error Report:

    Error Description:

    Pointer record exists but referenced record of type 8 not found: 1d1f311a-0e78-dd11-9505-00016c3bb598

     

    The friendly message says:

     

    Record is unavailable

     

    The requested record was not found or you don't have sufficient permissions to view it.

     

    Any assistant will be appreciated.

  • Did you go for "Check updates" during the installation.

    There is problem with the patch for checkupdates as it keeps on working with the Asyn service which stops it working fine.

    Check to see that u didnt go for updates during installtion if u have selected it.

    There is a patch available at microsoft u can go for it and it needs a pwd which the support team can provide free.

     

    Even though if it doesnt work then i guess u need to install crm once again and make sure that this time u dont select the

    "Check Updtes"
