Hello. Our organization has recently purchased a Windows XP Professional volume licence, and will be replacing all of our Windows 2000 units with XP. However, various people will be working on the machines and I was wondering if it is possible to protect our volume licence key. I do not want anyone to be able to go up to the computer and run, for instance the Magic Jelly Bean keyfinder to steal our volume key.
BTW, The computers will have some Group Policy restrictions and will be Deep Frozen (Faronics Deep Freeze). However, they will still be logged in as administrators.
Even if this requires some sort of registry or .dll hack, I do not want users to be able to steal my product key.
