Managing Users RRS feed

  • Question

  • I simply can't find a way to add a user to my Gatineau account. I've clicked on the Users (Add and manage user accounts for people to view reports and access profiles) but the resulting page indicates "You must select a customer/account." I've tried adding a user to my adCenter account but the new user isn't displayed within Gatineau.

Is user management not yet enabled for the beta? Am I missing something obvious?

    Cheers,

  • Dan, I'm a bit confused. Even a Standard adCenter account can have multiple users. You've answered my question so perhaps it's not worth diving deeper into the answer but it sounds like you're saying a new account is created for each user in Gatineau? Or is it simply a matter that you can't set granular permissions on a Standard account like you can with a Premium account? An academic question, I suppose, but I'm curious.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Charles,

The ability to have multiple users is something that is planned for future releases.  During Beta 1, only customers who are premium adCenter customers can have multiple accounts.  Since most of the beta invitees are not premium adCenter customers, they won’t have access to multiple accounts yet.  This is a limitation due to how adCenter handles accounts that should be fixed with future Betas.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Charles,

Yes, a Standard adCenter account can have multiple accounts.  As you said, though, there is a limitation on what permissions can be set on a sub-account in a Standard Account.  The permissions needed for Gatineau cannot be applied to those accounts, yet.  This limitation is what we are looking at fixing in future betas.

    Thanks,
