  • Carzon,

As a rule, major manufacturers such as Gateway (who built your computer) have a utility installed that enables you to generate a set of Recovery CDs for your computer.  If you haven't done this yet, consult the support pages for your exact model to find out how to make the discs.  As a rule the utility is set to allow you to make only one set, so If you have already made the discs and lost them, you'll want to contact Gateway customer service or tech support to see if they can sell you a replacement set.

Your computer has the Tablet Edition of Windows XP installed, which is not readily available for retail or OEM purchase, so don't be tempted to reformat or destroy your current installation of XP before you have taken possession of functioning recovery CDs for your model of Gateway.
