"Windows Vista Home Premium product key is invalid" For Gateway

Question

Hi, I've had this computer for almost 4 and a half years and never had a problem with it until this message comes up.....Do I need to take it in for repair? I haven't deleted anything from the hard drive except for MyspaceIM and GoogleEarth. And I haven't added anything recently (in months). HELP!!! There's no reduced functionality (not even an option). I choose activate later and the only thing different is my background with the message "This copy of Windows is not genuine."When I startup the computer, I only get two choices:Activate nowActivate laterThen upon resume, it gave me three choices:Buy new product keyType in a different product keyContact Gateway to help resolve this problemThis very frustrating and I'm not a big techie (I know a little bit) so please explain things somewhat simply and concisely. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.Diagnostic Report (1.9.0027.0):-----------------------------------------Windows Validation Data-->Validation Status: Invalid LicenseValidation Code: 50Cached Online Validation Code: N/A, hr = 0xc004f012Windows Product Key: *****-*****-CP8RG-M44KK-Q8RB3Windows Product Key Hash: g1L8yAa8AHmc1i5JijgZ5VwhmG0=Windows Product ID: 89578-OEM-7216336-63049Windows Product ID Type: 8Windows License Type: COA SLPWindows OS version: 6.0.6002.2.00010300.2.0.003ID: {AD7A3815-B22C-4608-BDCA-976B66C8EE23}(1)Is Admin: YesTestCab: 0x0LegitcheckControl ActiveX: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Product Name: Windows Vista (TM) Home PremiumArchitecture: 0x00000000Build lab: 6002.vistasp2_gdr.101014-0432TTS Error:Validation Diagnostic:Resolution Status: N/AVista WgaER Data-->ThreatID(s): N/A, hr = 0x80070002Version: 6.0.6002.16398Windows XP Notifications Data-->Cached Result: N/A, hr = 0x80070002File Exists: NoVersion: N/A, hr = 0x80070002WgaTray.exe Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002WgaLogon.dll Signed By: N/A, hr = 0x80070002OGA Notifications Data-->Cached Result: N/A, hr = 0x80070002Version: 2.0.48.0OGAExec.exe Signed By: MicrosoftOGAAddin.dll Signed By: MicrosoftOGA Data-->Office Status: 100 GenuineMicrosoft Office Home and Student 2007 - 100 GenuineOGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0Signed By: MicrosoftOffice Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-364-80041010_025D1FF3-229-80041010_025D1FF3-230-1_025D1FF3-517-80040154_025D1FF3-237-80040154_025D1FF3-238-2_025D1FF3-244-80070002_025D1FF3-258-3_E2AD56EA-765-d003_E2AD56EA-766-0_E2AD56EA-134-80004005Browser Data-->Proxy settings: N/AUser Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Win32)Default Browser: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exeDownload signed ActiveX controls: PromptDownload unsigned ActiveX controls: DisabledRun ActiveX controls and plug-ins: AllowedInitialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe: DisabledAllow scripting of Internet Explorer Webbrowser control: DisabledActive scripting: AllowedScript ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting: AllowedFile Scan Data-->Other data-->Office Details: <GenuineResults><MachineData><UGUID>{AD7A3815-B22C-4608-BDCA-976B66C8EE23}</UGUID><Version>1.9.0027.0</Version><OS>6.0.6002.2.00010300.2.0.003</OS><Architecture>x32</Architecture><PKey>*****-*****-*****-*****-Q8RB3</PKey><PID>89578-OEM-7216336-63049</PID><PIDType>8</PIDType><SID>S-1-5-21-4061292235-858410475-2688614587</SID><SYSTEM><Manufacturer>Gateway </Manufacturer><Model>Blade-K8F </Model></SYSTEM><BIOS><Manufacturer>Phoenix Technologies LTD</Manufacturer><Version>84.08 </Version><SMBIOSVersion major="2" minor="4"/><Date>20060531000000.000000+000</Date></BIOS><HWID>54333507018400EE</HWID><UserLCID>0409</UserLCID><SystemLCID>0409</SystemLCID><TimeZone>Eastern Standard Time(GMT-05:00)</TimeZone><iJoin>0</iJoin><SBID><stat>3</stat><msppid></msppid><name></name><model></model></SBID><OEM/><GANotification><File Name="OGAAddin.dll" Version="2.0.48.0"/></GANotification></MachineData><Software><Office><Result>100</Result><Products><Product GUID="{91120000-002F-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}"><LegitResult>100</LegitResult><Name>Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007</Name><Ver>12</Ver><Val>470D732D653170E</Val><Hash>UXmcpvJIC20gyuFBROqoZDe8Ktw=</Hash><Pid>81602-903-4383755-68895</Pid><PidType>1</PidType></Product></Products><Applications><App Id="16" Version="12" Result="100"/><App Id="18" Version="12" Result="100"/><App Id="1B" Version="12" Result="100"/><App Id="A1" Version="12" Result="100"/></Applications></Office></Software></GenuineResults>Spsys.log Content: 0x80070002Licensing Data-->Software licensing service version: 6.0.6002.18005Name: Windows(TM) Vista, HomePremium editionDescription: Windows Operating System - Vista, OEM_COA_SLP channelActivation ID: a4eec485-e375-48b4-8f51-80d13a4086b6Application ID: 55c92734-d682-4d71-983e-d6ec3f16059fExtended PID: 89578-00144-163-363049-02-1033-6002.0000-1192011Installation ID: 067902690853126223100311081580808206517033865843545490Processor Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=43473Machine Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=43474Use License URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=43476Product Key Certificate URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=43475Partial Product Key: Q8RB3License Status: LicensedWindows Activation Technologies-->N/AHWID Data-->HWID Hash Current: MgAAAAEAAgABAAEAAQABAAAAAwABAAEAnJ/Ou0j9ngZeP7pHshry9CbspIesVtPl+vw=OEM Activation 1.0 Data-->N/AOEM Activation 2.0 Data-->BIOS valid for OA 2.0: yes, but no SLIC tableWindows marker version: N/AOEMID and OEMTableID Consistent: N/ABIOS Information:ACPI Table Name OEMID Value OEMTableID ValueAPIC GATEWA SYSTEMFACP GATEWA SYSTEMMCFG GATEWA SYSTEMSSDT GATEWA SYSTEMSaturday, April 30, 2011 4:15 AM

Your License is showing as being invalid - but I can see no reason for it. This usually means that the Licensing Store is corrupted. Please try the below steps to recreate the Store files. This may resolve the issue.
1) Open an Internet Browser window.
2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
3) Find the file CMD.exe
4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
5) Type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
9) Type: net start slsvc
10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
11) Restart your computer twice.
12) You may be required to enter the Product Key and/or Activate.
Reboot
Once complete, please post back with a new MGADiag report

No - it doesn't touch user files.
