Trying to schedule SyncToy....help!!

Question
-
I am trying to schedule SyncToy to run every night.
So far, I have gotten it to simply start SyncToy (but not run the only folder pair I have).
This happens when the run box says:
"C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToy.exe"
Or, I have gotten it to give me the following error message:
Invalid Option
The ability to execute folder pairs from the commandline (-R option) is now available from SyncToyCmd.exe.This happens when the run box says:
"C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToy.exe" -R
or
"C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToy.exe" "-R"
Or I have gotten it to simply open the black "run" dialogue box.
This happens when the run box says:
"C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToyCmd.exe"
and
"C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToyCmd.exe" "-R"
Please help! If you could email a copy of what you write to vandalay04@aol.com, thanks!

SyncToy 2.0 support command way with SyncToyCmd.exe but not SyncToy.exe(this is only the UI tool).
>>"C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToyCmd.exe"
Usage: SyncToyCmd [-args]
All arguments are optional.
-R Run all folder pairs that are marked as Active for Run All.
-R <name> Run the named folder pair (only one folder pair can be specified
).
-? Display this help.Examples:
SyncToyCmd -R MyFolderPair
SyncToyCmd -R
Thanks

IMPORTANT: I followed this and changed all of the path et al. Nothing but a flickering window, no task in the task manager, no clue as what didn't work. The file I created to test didn't transfer, the only thing I knew what this it wasn't working.
PROBLEM:
It ran, BUT the window flicked open and closed immediately. FRUSTRATING - because there wasn't an explination I read the same post on multiple forums on who, what and how to do this.
ANSWER:
You MUST run a manual synch before scheduling a task. The synchtoy app must have run a 'synch' on the folder pair (or pairs if you are doing the 'all' thing) before the schedule task will run.
I was able to screenprint the flicker and open the box in paint. What I wasn't able to read was that you needed to have a run-through before. Silly that no one has posted that here yet.
Hope this saved you time and frustration. :-)Monday, June 29, 2009 9:25 PM -
Hi,
It seems I have the same problem. I have Windows XP SP3 and SyncToy 2.0. At the time SyncToy is scheduled, a black command line window flicked but nothing happened, no files in sync!
Here is the command line:
"C:\Program Files\SyncToy 2.0\SyncToyCmd.exe" –R "GIS"
Is there anything wrong?
