Can i swap two valid COA between my laptop and main desktop RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have a desktop with a valid COA running under Windows XP Home SP2 and a laptop running a valid COA under windows XP Pro 2002 SR2.

I would like to swap the Desktop over to running Pro and run Home on the laptop..

I have attached for you info the MGA output for the laptop.

If required I can start a new install on both but wanted to check I am allowed to do this under the Licence agreement..

    Many thanks in advance

    Barry

Output text from MGA and Xp Pro SR 2

  • Hello Barry,

OEM licenses of Windows XP are non-transferrable, so unfortunately if you wanted to swap the OS's around you will need to purchase a retail copy of Windows XP, also called the FPP.  Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Thank you,
