Portfolio Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are almost complete with our Project Server implementation, and the client would like to proceed with Portfolio Server.  They already have it installed, but I am not certain as to its current state.

Is there a forum similar to this one for Portfolio Server?  And, I have had a hard time finding good documenttion on the product; an admin guide, best practice material, etc.

Any info on this subject is appreciated.

  • Assuming you are talking of Portfolio server 2007, refer to the link below for portfolio server documentation on technet

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/projportserver/default.aspx

    Hope this helps

  • There're a couple of white papers floating around, and EPMU (a Microsoft
program) offered some online recorded training sessions on the topic.

The general recommendation would be to steer them towards Project Server
2010 w/ perhaps a Financial Server product thrown in.  That'll get you the
same functionality with a bit more of a support community.  There're a couple
companies that have released a Financial Server product, EPK and UMT being
    two of them.
