Webcam locks msn live

Question
-
Hi all,
I have an asus PG221 LCD monitor with built in 1.3m webcam but everytime i use it on msn live, my msn locks up and i have to end programme.
I have deleted the webcam driver and reinstalled but same thing. I called ASUS but the technician just told me to reinstal drivers and that was all he could suggest.
I am using the latest windows live and latest asus webcam drivers so any advice would be great. PS i am using vista 64 bit home premium and have a decent spec quad core machine.
Many thanks darrenWednesday, October 29, 2008 2:16 PM

Hey Darren, sounds like a problem with Windows Live Messenger. Unforutnately, the Writer team is not really the best set of people to help you with that.
You'll have better luck if you post to the Windows Live Messenger newsgroup where is here:

Hi Darren,
Thanks for sending in your feedback. Can you please provide more detail about how you're trying to use your webcam? For example: Are you trying to use your webcame with Windows Live Messenger? Or are you trying to upload video to Soapbox?
This forum is for Windows Live Writer (a blogging tool) and it's not clear that you're having issues with that. It would be good to get some clarification from you so we can help redirect you to the right people if necessary.
