BIOS valid for OA 2.0: no, invalid SLIC table
The problem is caused by the fact that the OS is unable to properly read the SLIC table in the BIOS.The solution is to change the Product Key to the one on the systems COA sticker on the case, and then activate by phone. To change the Key, go to the System properties page, and use the Change Product Key link at the bottom – you should be offered the choice of ways to activate after inputting the Key.

when you say systems COA sticker on the case, are you referring to the Windows sticker on the bottom of my laptop because that is so worn I can't see the numbers?

Try using a bright light and a magnifier – unfortunately there’s no way around it without a complete reformat/reinstall

It just says invalid for activation. In that case, one of the characters you entered is wrong (the check-digit doesn’t tally). Check the characters again and try alternatives for whichever you’re not certain of.Note that if you’re entering a Key ending in 3Q6C9, that Key can never work in your situation, as it’s the one already in use, and is prevented from activating at MS’s servers
