Missing "Enable users for Communications server" i AD Users and Computers RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm missing all choices regarding enabling users for Comminications server 2007. The installation ran sucessfully. I have also installed the Admin tools.

    Any suggestions?

  • I suppose the domain controller and OCS are different server? In that case you should either install the OCS management tools on the DC (if that's possible) or install the Windows Admin Pak on the OCS server.

Looks like the extensions for the MMC snap-in are not installed on the host where you open the MMC. Which host is that?

  • If you are running OCS on a 64-bit host OS, then you'll need to run the management tools with the commandline "dsa.msc -32".

  • I had this also this problem.
    I don't run 64-bit so that wasn't the problem.

Then after hours of searching I find that the external firewall is blocking this.

    So check youre firewall.
