Mobile Configuration Entity still remains in Settings in CRM 4 Web Client RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    Despite removing the Mobile Mobile Client software prior to upgrading CRM 3 to 4, and removing the webfolders, databases and directories - I can still see the 'Mobile Configuration' Entity when I log on to CRM as the Administrator and I click on 'Settings'. There is a missing icon where the .gif placement should be as well.

    This does not display in the Outlook Client view, when I log on as Administrator (I don't believe it did in version 3).

    Having scoured Google Groups, I found a useful article for someone else having the same problem, though the fix only applies to V3 and the sitemap.xml file.

    This post from Frank Lee explains the resolution.

    "Locate the "<SubArea Id="nav_mobileclient" Title="Mobile Configuration"
    Icon="/MobileClient/MobileClient.gif" Url="/MobileClient/HomePage.aspx"
    Client="Web" />" and remove "

    Anyone know where this can be done in V4?

    TIA

  • Ignore previous post, a moment of clarity made me see exactly what I was doing wrong!

    The above solution from Frank Lee also works on V4.
