Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - deactivating a computer / product key for a defunct machine RRS feed

  • I purchased Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 through my employer via the "Home Use" program.  I installed it on 2 machines at my home, but one of those machines is no longer a viable option.  I'd like to de-activate the license for that machine, remove the software, and move it to a new PC.  Is this possible?

    See para 13 of the Home Use Program Terms here:  http://www.microsofthup.com/hupus/terms.aspx

    The way I read it, you are not restricted from moving the installation from one computer to another, BUT you are only allowed to install and activate the license on one computer at a time.  So, two simultaneous installations are not permitted.

    You should check with the IT/software personnel at your company for further details, however.
