phone-context=dialstring RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can anyone explain me what's the role of "phone-context=dialstring" ?

I see "phone-context=dialstring" added at the end of dialed number (only in a number normalized with no "Digits to prepended").

  • my understanding of this is that when it is set to "dialstring" you use the SIP URI map cdp or udp when it asks for a SIP uri requiring that phone-context.  example SIP URI: 5555;phone-context=cdp.udp (where cdp is your L1 domain and udp is your L0 domain)

    hope that helps.
