Communicator registration keep alive? RRS feed

  • We have a problem with our communicator mobile clients.  These clients are on mobile devices and sometimes when they are logged into OC the receive a cell call which kills their data connection.  These users still show up as logged in.  When u try to message them the message sits and then fails.  After some time the user will show up as offline.  If there anyway to have OCS correctly report the user as offline in a more timely manner when a connection to the server is forcefully broken?

    What version of the CoMo client are you using? I will see if I can replicate that.

  • That's the latest version.

    Interesting testing...this was tested via federation...

    CoMo presence showing available...

    call the cell phone and answer...

    presence doesn't change...

    send an IM, wait about a minute...

    hang up and then I get the IM...

    If I wait long enough I get a message that the IM can't be delivered, but it will eventually go through after I hang up.


    There must be a timeout configured somewhere, but I am unaware of the location.
