Uninstalling WGA RRS feed

  • Question

  •

The existing threads about removing WGA have degenerated into name calling.  All of my MS software is genuine, it's already been validated, and I don't buy software from suspect sources.  I would like to hear from a Microsoft employee how to uninstall WGA without having to reformat my hard drive.  There is absolutely no reason for this software to be on my computer, taking up valuable space and cycles.  I have yet another WGA update on hold, and I don't intend to install it until I receive an answer to this question.  Thanks.

Thank you for the prompt reply and the information, but can I assume that my version of WGA is a pilot version?  Also, instead of a kludge requiring a user to make changes themselves to the registry, Microsoft should be offering an update that permits a user to completely uninstall the program out of the control panel.
