Use the Key on the COA sticker on your PC - if you have no sticker, then the PC is unlicensed, and cannot be activated.
I have no idea what you mean by "automated copied windows cd".

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

  • I have the same issue. I had to reformat my hard drive and when I enter the activation key that is on the sticker, it says that it is invalid. Here is a copy of my report and any help is much appreciated.

  • Hello outlaw64,

Windows or Office?  You have issues with both.

Either way, start your own thread--if Windows in the Vista section of the forum.
