Unable to validate an activate Office 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I desparately need some help. I have activated my Office 2007 and want to download some add ins. The web site keeps telling me I'm failing the validation process. I have run the diagnostics for the validation software. That did not do anything. I've erased the dat file and reactivated the software. That did nothing either. Please help.

  • Hi Dave,

Would you be abe to post the output of your diagnostic session here?  It's safe and the data contained in it will not do anyone else any good (they cannot activate a product with it or anything like that).

The steps you need to follow are:

    1)      Logon to the PC that is experiencing the notifications as a user with ADMIN rights.

    2)      Download the tool:   http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 click RUN.

    3)      When the tool loads, click CONTINUE.

    4)      Is the RESOLVE button available?  If so, please click RESOLVE to allow the diagnostic tool to repair the issue.

    5)      From the Windows tab, click the COPY button.

    6)      Reply back to this post and PASTE the results.

The diagnostic output is really one of the only ways we can troubleshoot (otherwise it's pure speculation).

    Thanks,

    Michelle
