Upgrading to MCSE 2003 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently have my MCSA in Windows 2000 but want to complete test to get my MCSE in 2003. I know they have retired some of the test as far as upgrading to 2003 as of March 2008.

So what does that mean for me, do I have to start from scratch to get my MCSE 2003 and take all test? Or is it possible for me to take only certain test to get my MCSE 2003? Thanks for any help on answering this question. And if anyone has a link to where this information is located that would be great.

    Thanks,
    Bill

  • Assuming you took 70-210 for your client requirement, and since you have achieved your MCSA in Windows 2000; you will need to pass the following to achieve your MCSE 2003:

    70-290
    70-291
    70-293
    70-294

    AND 70-297 OR 70-298

Your MCSA counts as an elective, so you have that requirement taken care of.

You can take a look at what I am talking about at: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcse/windows2003/default.mspx

  • Michael:
Thanks so much for the reply. What if I just want to upgrade to MCSA 2003 would I just need to take 70-290 and 70-291?

    Thanks again,
    Bill
