Windows HPC job stucked when creating matlab parallel worker RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a MATLAB compiled .exe file which creates parallel workers before running the rest of the program. When submitting job(Windows HPC 2012) to run this .exe, it simply gets stuck at the parallel worker creation portion of the executable. Whereas when I run the same exe using cmd on all nodes, it creates the worker normally and runs perfectly. Any help is much appreciated.

  • Could you share the job submission commandline to us?

As you can run the command directly on all nodes, you can have try of HPC_ATTATCHTOSESSION or HPC_ATTATCHTOCONSOLE when submitting the job so that your command will be run in the logged on session just as you run the command manually.

Please refer to this link https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg247477(v=ws.10).aspx on how to submit job in logged on session.
