options for performance monitoring

    Question

  • Hi there

I appreciate some input on what are the current options for performance monitoring, i came across this page

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj152383(v=vs.85).aspx which seems to me MI is the new and to-be-used-for interface for WMI; since it doesn't support 2008 series and we have to support those so i retreated back to

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa720264.aspx.

I'd like to gather basic CPU/Disk/Network/Memory usage of the targeted server with the option to extend later on. You can think it as a simple version of perfmon.

Please let me know if there is a better forum for this question

    thanks

    jasmine

  • Hi Jasmine,

Thank you for visiting the MSDN forum. I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum about this issue, since this forum is to discuss Visual C#. I am moving your question to the moderator forum ("Where is the forum for..?"). The owner of the forum will direct you to a right forum. Thanks for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Kristin
