new install after reverting back from crm 2013 registry key missing during srsdataconnector install RRS feed

  • Question

  • crm setup failed. setup not able to find registry value HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSCRM:CRM_SrsDataConnector_ReportServerInstance

I have tried running the install, have all CRM deleted prior to new install.

is the registyr key supposed to hold a directory path?

    thanks,

    john

  • Hi Mibbler,

The "CRM_SrsDataConnector_ReportServerInstance"is supposed to hold the Reporting Server Instance name (for example MSSQLSERVER).

Have you already installed Dynamics CRM Server?

  • Hello,

thanks for responding. Yes I have already installed Dynamics Server. Then it went automatically in to install  SRS which failed. I uninstalled the 2013 version as it didn't get uninstalled.

tried installing SRS and the same failure.
