  • Support should be able to retrieve your Live ID and password. How to reach support - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

  • Jeremyl91,

Thank you for visiting the Live OneCare program forum. Go to the following link:

    www.OneCare.com

    Download and install the trial.

Then activate it with your product key. This will activate with one your 3 licenses. You can later go into Manage My OneCare Cirle and deselect the license that is no longer valid.

Once Activated, you can you click Help within OneCare and then click About, there you should see the Windows Live ID associated with your accout. If you've lost your password, see the following instructions:

If you need assistance in regards to your password for the LiveID you used to activate your Live OneCare, please see the following instructions.

If you have a paid subscription, you are eligible to receive e-mail, chat, or telephone support. However, if you have a free trial subscription, you are eligible to receive only e-mail support.

To submit a Service Request and to contact a OneCare Support agent:

      1. At the bottom of any Help topic, click Get more help, and then click Get support.
      2. In the Contact Support window, choose the type of support that you want, and then choose whether you want help with a new issue or with an existing issue. If it's a new issue, choose whether it's related to the computer that you're using now or to a different computer.
      3. Click Continue.
      4. Enter the appropriate subscription information, and then click Continue.
      5. Enter detailed information about the issue that you're experiencing, and then click Continue to receive your Service Request number.
You will need this Service Request number when you start your session with a Customer Support agent.

Note: Chat support is available only in the United States and Canada

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for contacting the Live OneCare program forum.

  • Rick, entering the product key on a re-install of One Care will generate a 8059 error ( product key already in use ) and cause further frustration for the OP. The only solution is a support contact to retrieve Live ID and password associated with that product key.
