how many of you heard about MINIX OS. ?? i came to know that it was supposed to be the smallest OS under construction...

MINIX is a free/open source, Unix-like operating system (OS) based on a microkernel architecture. Andrew S. Tanenbaum wrote the operating system to be used for educational purposes; MINIX also inspired the creation of the Linux kernel. Its name derives from the words minimal and Unix.
