Can't uninstall trial version of avast! WHS version? RRS feed

    My trial version of "avast! Antivirus" expired and a popup message told me to uninstall it.  I went to the "ADD-INS" tab in SETTINGS and clicked the Uninstall button, it started, but then a few seconds later I get a popup message window that says "Uninstallation Failed".  I tried to uninstall it from the Control Panel also...and get the message "Fatal Error During Installation".

    Anybody know what the issue might be?  Seems to me this s/b a fairly straightforward process.  Am I missing something?  The program was originally installed via the "ADD-INS" tab and was a WHS version.  The version # is 4.8.257 if that helps.

    I would contact Avast as this is their application/add-in.
