Validating a Validated Product - Small Business Office Suite with CRM RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running MS SBS with CRM 2007 (this was upgrade) on a Toshiba laptop with Vista Home Prem pre-installed.

My initial install of SBS was good and it validated/activated successfully over the Net.

When I Tried to download a plug-in for Word, I was told my product (SBS) would not complete validation.

I followe Tech Support/Forum/Knowledgebase advice and deleted .dat files etc., and as this did not work, resorted to full uninstall/re-install, this time activating/validating over the phone.

Although this validation was good, the product still wouldn't validate on downloading.

I have run the MGA Diagnostic, and the results are as follows -

    Please help

    Ian

    Ian Green,

Both Windows Vista and Office Small Business 2007 are genuine.

Please run the following tool and re-validate Office Small Business 2007.

    http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag/

Are you seeing any error messages? If so, when are you seeing these messages pop up?

Also make sure that you are logged in with administrator rights and that you are running Internet Explorer

How to turn off IE7 Protected Mode In Windows Vista?

Running IE7 as an administrator process (i.e. using the real Vista Administrator login account) will automatically turn off IE7 Protected Mode.

Also, if you’ve turned off Windows Vista User Account Control (UAC), IE7 will also turn off Protected Mode automatically.

    1) Right-click IE7 shortcut icon in the Quick Launch toolbar and select Run as Administrator, or

    2) Click the Vista Start button, type Internet in the Start Search Vista-Search box, right-click Internet Explorer in Program listing and click the Run as Administrator option, or

    3) Locate “Internet Mode: On” in the IE7 status bar (bottom-right of IE7 window) and double-click on it. Unchecked the check-box for “Enable Protected Mode (Requires restarting Internet Explorer)”

    I hope this helps,
