  • No--does not support attachments.  You can create a mail merge from an existing office document, so it reduces the need to add attachments, but you still cannot do attachments

  • I am new to CRM 4.0 and everything I have seen with the Web Mail Merge but I have a question.  I viewed the screencast located at the blog Titan-Mail-Merge and the tail end of the screencast has me confused.  After the user prints the document to the Microsoft XPS Document Writer the Add-in allows the user to attach the letter as an activity to the account in CRM.  I have tried this task on both Word 2003 SP3 and 2007 and am not able to achieve this particular part of the screencast.  Is there a piece of software that I don't have installed or is there a parameter I need to set?  I am accessing CRM as a System Administrator so I know it is not a security problem.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Dear Theresa,

Yes you can create word mail merge with Word 2003, check the macro settings so you will have this.

  • Thanks for the info but I don't think I was clear.  In the demo I watched, it allowed for the user to attach each of the letters as activities back to the CRM account.  I have not been able to recreate this part of the demo.  Is this process available with the 4.0 Outlook Client?  I don't currently have it installed.
