  • HI,

    m an Engineering graduate( IT) and recently employed with an IT Distribution firm . My job includes advicing people on the correct Microsoft Licences and MS Licensing Policies.

    Though I have a fair knowledge of almost all Microsoft products , Which MS Certification should I acquire in order to give my career a significant boost. 

    M planning to go for a certification in Windows Server 2008 ( MCSE).
    Please  advice .

  • How about starting with your Vista client exam?  It should be a fairly easy exam to pass since most of the practical stuff / practice can be done on a home PC, and passing the vista client exam will be the first step towards getting a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist designation (MCTS), which now replaces the old MCSA/MCSE structure.  For more information on the MCTS designation, see:

  • If your company is a Microsoft Partner you may want to look into a Licensing Competency for your Partner Account and look at these two exams
