  • CRM 2011 Outlook Client install Failing on one users 64 bit Win 7 SP1 system.   Other users so far (mostly 32 bit) have not had any issue.

Uninstalled 4.0 client.   Scheduled an install using SCCM.  Saw in the application log that the install had failed.  Tried the to manually install using elevated priviledge (run as admin).  Failed.

Logged in as a domain admin who has is a local admin on the computer - tried install.  Still failed.

  • It's a Common Language Runtime error.

Check out you prerequisites. Often that's associated with a problem from the SQL install.

Sometimes we have had folks with .net 1.1 and they jumped to 3.5 and odd errors like this occured.
