Cannot install a Microsoft Works 9 CD on the Dell Inspiron 3000 computer running the Windows XP Home Edition.

  Hi, My name is Don and I have a Microsoft Works 9 CD that I cannot install on a Dell Home Edition Windows XP computer.  I keep getting "Not Correct OS".  I have tried everything that I can think of. 
  
  Can someone instruct me how to properly install this CD?
