I can't see the other PC with Live Mesh remote RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I am a long-time beta user of Live Mesh and loved the remote desktop capability. I recently installed the new Live Mesh 2011 on all 3 of my PCs. My PCs are both running Windows 7 and are HP media PC laptops. They are also part of the same Homegroup and same lan network, and using Windows Homegroup I can access files from one to the other.

But now I cannot remote into my other PC!! When I go to Live Mesh from either PC, all I see is the PC I am currently using. The other is not showing up, so I can no longer remote into it! This is really a problem for me, as I have become somewhat dependent on using Live Mesh to allow me to easily share a large-screen monitor I use.

Can someone please give me some idea what might be going on here and how I can fix this?

    Thanks!

Since you are referring to Windows Live Mesh, not Live Mesh - www.mesh.com, you are in the wrong forum.

For discussion of the new Windows Live Mesh (formerly Sync), (as well as the released Live Sync version) go here:

  • Are you signed into the Windows Live Mesh client on the PCs that you want to connect to with the same LiveID? Do you see all 3 PCs, even if only one is showing as on and connected, when you sign in at http://devices.live.com?

Post that info to the other forum....
