Sorry I was confused, is there a way of dual booting 2 OSes when I got one already installed?

    P. Wagner

    Now I'm confused!
What has two OS's got to do with anything?
    Which two OS's?
Just boot to the OS with this problem.
If you want to install a second OS, the it's easy enough (so long as they're both Windows, and you install equivalent or later versions after earlier) - but please go back to your original forum and start a new thread on that subject.
If you want to fix this install, then you need to follow the instructions posted above.

    DETAILS please!!
the C004C003 error frequently translates as a Blocked Key problem - for which there are very limited solutions which don't involve purchase of a new Key.

  • That 0xC004C003 error  reads: The activation server determined the specified product key has been blocked (upon running slui.exe).

    P. Wagner

There are NO media-handling differences between Pro and Ultimate

You have a Blocked Key - which means that either you have attempted activation so often that the activation servers at MS have raised a red flag  (and which you may be able to get the activation operators to reverse), or that your Key has been blocked for reason (such as it being lost or stolen). As far as I can tell, it hasn't been released to the internet. From where did you purchase your Win 7 Ultimate?

I suggest that you bite the bullet and reformat/reinstall with your original OS and then upgrade with the genuine MSDNAA offer.

...I was about to come back on that - I must have been spending too much time on the computer the last few days!
the 0xC004C003 error does NOT mean the key is blocked - simply that it's in use. This means that all that should be required is a telephone activation.
    Click on the Start button
    in the Search box, type
    SLUI   4
    and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions - but when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply - this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with you.
    Sorry about my confusion!
