Windows 7 build 7601 This copy of windows is not genuine.

Question
-
I have had Windows 7 for over 5 years on this computer, and have had zero issues with it in that time. Then Windows update performed an update and restarted the computer, and when I went to log on, I had an error on the bottom left side of my monitor that says that my copy isn't genuine. How do I fix this issue?

As I suspected, the motherboard is a retail one, and has no SLIC table able to activate the current Key.
You should be able to enter a valid Key in the wizard, which will activate - but you cannot use the one ending 9YQTR, as this is ONLY valid on machines preinstalled by the manufacturer, on that manufacturer's motherboard.

The installed Product Key is one only valid when the machine is preinstalled with Win7 by the manufacturer using their Recovery media.
This machine is based on a retail motherboard, and cannot support such a Key.
There are signs of a hacker's Activation Exploit being installed in an attempt to circumvent Activation and Validation requirements.
The installation is counterfeit.
Did you purchase this machine with Windows pre-installed? Is there a COA sticker on the case?

It was a machine I built maybe only 4 years ago, and put Windows on it with a valid key that has worked fine up until this point. I have no idea what changed in the last couple days to invalidate my installation.Sunday, December 13, 2015 10:52 AM

Is the Key you installed the same as the one indicated in the report? If so, then you must have used an Activation Exploit to be able to activate it.
If not, then you should re-enter your valid Key and activate that.

Under the Windows Activation area of the System page, It says that I must activate Windows now, but when I click on the link, it says that "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them. And it references C:\Windows\System32\slui.exe. And if I click the Change product key button, I get the same warning. I didn't even have the Windows Activation area when I started having this issue, It has appeared in the last couple days.Tuesday, December 15, 2015 9:09 PM

IN that case, try this...
Best way to fix it now (since we don't know which version of RemoveWAT was used) is to run WATFix....
Download WATFix - make sure that you UNTICK the box for the 'download manager, and click on the link on the left of the page, not the big shiny button on the right (which is an ad for the download manager!!) - and use that - extract the .exe file, and run it, then reboot.
Then see if you can change the Key - if not, post back with another MGADiag report, and we'll then see what we can do.

Now I can click on it, but when I do, I get "A problem occurred when Windows tried to activate. Error code 0xC004E003."
