SyncToy cannot access target folder when scheduled via Task Scheduler RRS feed

  • Question

  • I use SyncToy to synchronise a data folder on my PC "D:\DATA" with a copy stored on a network server located at "Z:\Scripts\.".

When running the synchronisation "by hand", the synchronisation works with no problem.

Using Task Scheduler, as described in the SyncToy helpfiles, however leads to the following error in the log files "*** Failed to execute folder pair Scripts. Could not locate folder Z:\Scripts\.".

Is there a reason why SyncToy can find the target network folder when run by hand, but not when scheduled via Task Scheduler?
