MOE.exe repeatedly crashing

Question
-
I'm seeing similar behavior on 2 of my 4 machines (both running Vista Ultimate, one 32 bit and on 64 bit). The only thing I see in the event logs is the Windows Error Reporting dump.
Any ideas? I'll submit a bug later today.Tuesday, July 22, 2008 4:39 PM

Both machines that it's crashing on are development machines and I noticed that the WER dump mentions mscorlib. I have VIsual Studio 2008 and Silverlight installed on both of these machines - it is possible something with Silverlight is causing trouble? Or an SP that I need/shouldn't have?
Silverlight was also causing crashes on Firefox...
Any ideas?

I haven't yet, but I will try to get to that today and post the link.
By the way, removing Silverlight seems to have solved the problem. I was using Silverlight throughout the release cycle, so it's possible there were some remnants from a previous alpha version and it's not Silverlight generally causing the issue.

anders517, I don't know if moe.exe is the victim or the cause. That error, CLR20r3, is usually an indication of a problem with .Net Framework. You may want to repair .Net Framework first. If that doesn't resolve it, then a reinstall of Mesh may be in order.
To repair .Net Framework 2.0 on XP:
Open Control Panel
Select Add or Remove Programs
Locate Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0
Select the entry and when the installer launches, select Repair.
Reboot when it completes.
Alternatively, see this KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306160
To remove a corrupt .Net Framework install, use this tool:

The download of .Net Framework 2.0 can be found here:
To repair .Net Framework 2.0 and 3.0 on Vista, see this blog entry:
Note that after repairing or reinstalling .Net Framework, you will need to reapply the .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 update via Windows Update.
